Virtual Assistant

If not now, when?

You have been looking for a meaningful career that bears the potency of freedom. You have read every article you could get your hands on about “how to make money online.

You want to exhale, to self-determine, and express your highest sense of self without a boss breathing down your neck. You have groomed the impulse to do more of the things you love, close doors on limiting beliefs, and embrace the eternal nature of the human spirit. You want to supplement your 9-5 income or leave it altogether.

You have landed on the perfect choice on the planet (VA), but you don’t know how to proceed. There is a track load of information about becoming a successful VA, yet; you feel you’ve lost before beginning the journey.

Whenever you see successful VA’s parading their victories and celebrating milestones, aren’t you tempted to imagine that they have the Midas touch? Well, let me fill you in on something, their success is a result of time and experience, that’s all.

They continuously do the work; they iterate, learn and unlearn until they become better. If you start now, you stand a better chance at putting in the work when you still have the motivation to succeed. “The best time to plant trees was twenty years ago, the second-best time is now,” this old maxim should speak to your resolve.

Any VA worth their salt will tell you that these unsavory feelings you harbor are natural and expected. The imposter syndrome crippling your brain indicates that you are in the right place.

It is a sign of growth, you are stretching yourself, and it is scary. Did I mention that all you need is resilience and a can-do attitude (of course, you are smart, I need not remind you)?

“Yes you can” is a cliché statement, but it embodies everything you will get out of your newfound career. Yes, you can have the autonomy to work on your schedule, according to your terms, and without supervision.

Yes, you can design a career that will earn you money and replace your 9-5. Yes, you can start without prior experience and learn on the job, becoming a master once you apply yourself to the labor of learning.

You chose the VA road because you want to do what ignites the fire in your soul, pursue desires that previously were deeply seated in the recess of your mind, and build relationships that serve you.

For most people, trusting the magic of new beginnings can be a daunting task because of entrepreneurial uncertainty, but you are where you should be (you braced the pandemic, didn’t you?). The indomitable power to succeed is ingrained in your abilities.

Why Is VA Important?

Here is a snippet into the benefits you gain from being a virtual assistant

  1. A flexible work schedule
  2. Freedom to pick your services
  3. Free time for personal life (kids, dog, spouse, or explore your hobbies)
  4. Maximize your earning potential

For obvious reasons, virtual assistants are some of the most fulfilled personnel. They derive pleasure from helping their clients take the sting out of mundane tasks. Business owners are busy and operate under tight schedules and business conditions.

They employ the services of VA’s to handle administrative support, social media management, email management, content creation, and other things.

I know that the tasks I mentioned might seem alien to you, but stay with me. You do have a social media account, don’t you? You know a thing or two about websites and web design, am I right?

All I’m saying is there is an opportunity for you to offer incredible value, so don’t feel inadequate if some tasks don’t match your expertise.

The pandemic offered us the perfect time to reflect on what’s essential and what isn’t.

Most people had over eight months to recalibrate their priorities, and businesses learned the efficiency of virtually outsourcing talent to minimize expenses.

Working from home has become a full-blown career prospect. The internet is littered with courses, coaches, and testimonials from people in different niches evangelizing the financial and personal benefits of working remotely.

VA Admin

This statement might sound like some cheesy motivational fluff, but there is no change without pain, growth, and discomfort.

You have to remain teachable, imbibe the capacity to learn, and invest in yourself. There is no doubt that VA is the modern career, but it comes at a cost-Patience.

Now that you are turbo-charged and have embraced the fire burning within you, what next? How do you mitigate the frustrations of being a novice in an industry that constantly demands mastery? How do you become a fully booked VA?

Virtual Assistant Career is Amazing

The pertinent questions spinning in the mind of every VA is:

  1. Am I experienced enough?
  2. Where do I find clients?
  3. How much do I charge?
  4. How will I juggle between the VA demands and my day job or family?

Worry not because these questions are typical, and they should not distract you from your impulse to achieve your dreams. You can quickly move from “I am an amateur, I suck at this” to being fully booked.
